:: The Saddam Effect, Where are our Allies? :: |
|
*Update* Well, as you all know, we are at war with Iraq. I am very sad to see that we had to go to war, but it has happened. Hopefully we will learn to live in peace and be closer to a more unified world. I can hardly wait, personally, until this war ends (and all wars for that matter). *Original Article* As we know, Saddam Hussein has been a very huge problem for the world. At first he was a bully and invaded Kuwait and then, after practically defeating his whole army, we let him go with a slap on the wrist. There was only one catch, he had to bring in U. N. inspectors so that he could not create weapons of mass destruction, which we had evidence of him making. He reluctantly, sort of, let the inspectors in his country. Soon, as we all know, Hussein kicked out the U. N. inspectors, and did so as he pleased. Our only retaliation was a few cruise missiles. Huh? Now, he is letting them back to inspect, but we are still in the dark about much that goes on. We find stuff there that Saddam said would not be. He seems to be running us around the bush (no pun intended). And Germany, please stop blocking everything. It is getting annoying. Saddam is, as far as we know, producing biological and nuclear weapons that could kill millions of innocent lives, and yet we do practically nothing. This, to me, is extremely disappointing; the nation of protection has allowed Hussein to breed weapons of mass destruction. I hope that Bush’s Administration will do something to remove Saddam Hussein from power and restore order to that part of the world, as much as possible (in an acceptable way, such as not placing all focus on Iraq and forget N. Korea). I would, also, love to see all of our loyal allies support us in this effort to rid Saddam from power. Saddam will even pay families if one of them will kill themselves by being a suicide bomber. If we don’t take action now, we may see this madman Saddam rein terror over the world and I don’t like that idea at all. We, also, should ask our allies, any that are willing to help, for help in private, and plan the actions in private. This would help save more lives, because Saddam wouldn’t know when and where we are doing what we are doing. We must act soon, even if alone, to prevent massive terror from occurring. We must finish what we had started in the Gulf War, or we may never live to regret our mistake. |
