I am going to make an assumption that everyone has heard about the Beltway Sniper. This is because every news station in the Nation seems to be covering this in great depth. I see no harm in coverage, but once again, we have gone too far! The news networks are spelling out the police tactics and what is their next move. This is ludicrous! Yes, there is a freedom of the press, but does that mean that the press should be able to infringe on people’s safety? I say no. The media must be kept in check. This is the same as when we were searching for Osama. We discussed all of our tactics over the media. Same thing when we talk about attacking a country. The media is a resource, and it needs to be kept that way. If we allow the media to leak information, our National Security will be non-existent! The media must be controlled.
